Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, life insurance, disability, 401k, pet insurance, and employee assistance plans.
  • Ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in HRIS system including enrollments, terminations, and qualifying events.
  • Coordinate file feeds for all plans.
  • Assist employees with benefit claims.
  • Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all plans. Resolve administrative issues with the carrier representatives.
  • Process payment for all benefit-related invoicing.
  • Set up and process 401K contributions and company match.
  • Responsible for 401K year-end testing.
  • Process union dues, union pension plan, and union health and welfare plan.
  • Responsible for benefit open enrollment.
  • Process beneficiary updates and death claims.
  • Administer benefits plans upon termination (COBRA) and on Leaves of Absence/FMLA/STD.
  • Assist Executive VP of Employee Services in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of various plans.
  • Interact daily with employees and outside vendors to assist in resolving issues and/or interpreting plan documents
  • Create special request reports for various departmental needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions: Employee is expected to work a basic 40-hour week Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., plus whatever time is required to accomplish goals for the position. All overtime must be approved in advance.
