Qualifications: The successful candidates should have received a doctoral degree in kinesiology, exercise science, movement science or other relevant disciplines (e.g., psychology or neuroscience) by August 2025. A record of academic scholarship that meets qualifications for the Assistant Professor rank is required. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to research evidenced by the pursuit and/or reception of extramural funding and development of a research program that includes neuroimaging outcomes. The candidate must also demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate instruction and mentorship.

Salary: The typical salary range is $80,000 to $95,000 at the Assistant Professor level.

Application Process: To apply, create a candidate profile at http://jobs.illinois.edu and select the position you are applying to (1027703). Candidates should state in their cover letter that they are interested in the strategic cluster hiring initiative in 7T MRI and list any other participating departments they have applied to, if any. The statement on diversity should address past and/or potential contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion through research, teaching, and/or service.

To ensure full consideration, please complete your application by 01/06/2025. Review of applications will begin immediately afterwards. However, the position will remain open until filled. The preferred starting date is August 16, 2025.
