Sustainability (ERS) Division, you will collaborate with experts to provide
comprehensive policy, planning, and implementation services to deliver
solutions that address critical occupational safety and health issues and
support the military mission.
The ERS Division is seeking a highly motivated and
qualified associate analyst to support legislative reviews and Congressional
affairs in support of a senior Department of the Air Force (DAF) client focused
on infrastructure, environmental, and energy issues. The ideal candidate will
work well in a team environment and will be able to apply project management
strategies to track progress against milestones, to flag and resolve issues,
and to ensure final deliverables are submitted on time and meet quality standards.
Everyday duties will include monitoring congressional and communication related
information through the entire life-cycle to help prepare senior leadership.
Some travel may be required with this position. This is a hybrid position
located in the Washington, D.C area, with the flexibility to work from home
while participating in some in-person client and team discussions at or near
CTC's Crystal City office. Recurring in-office work may be required at the
Pentagon (e.g., every Monday) at client direction.
Key Responsibilities:
·Support the development of
strategies and plans regarding Congressionally-related activities/engagements.
·Assist with development of
Congressional testimony, speeches, publications, and briefings for various
audiences.
·Collaborate with other
Department of Air Force organizations to ensure Congressional requirements,
notifications, and taskings are met.
·Support internal DAF budget
development and analysis.
·Assist in preparing senior
Department of the Air Force leaders for public and congressional engagements
addressing installations, environment, and energy topics. Activities could
include executing skull sessions, interacting with media and congressional staffers,
and generating responses to congressional/public inquiries.
·Maintain strong client
relationship.
Basic Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s Degree in political
science, communications, law, policy, or a related discipline; Master's degree
preferred.
·Minimum of two (2) years of
experience supporting the legislative process, including bill tracking,
engagements and responses.
·Knowledge of the missions,
roles, functions, organizational structures, and relationships of Congress, the
Department of the Air Force and other DoD organizations.
·Strong communication skills,
written and oral, supported by inter-personal skills that support being a
liaison between organizations.
·Ability and confidence to work
closely with Air Force senior leaders.
·Detail-oriented with ability to
produce high-quality results.
·Excellent time management and
organizational skills.
·Capacity to collaborate in a
team setting and work independently to meet objectives
·Ability to obtain and maintain a
Common Access Card (CAC)
Preferred Qualifications:
·Active Secret clearance.
·Experience with Defense
appropriations and authorization committees or government consulting.
·Proven experience in federal
installation, environmental, and energy issues.
·Knowledge of Air Force task
management procedures and systems.
·Possession of excellent data
gathering, analytical, problem-solving, and client service skills
