CTC is
seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to support Department of Defense clients with
a portfolio focused delivery of energy security/resiliency projects,
leveraging private-sector resources and capital, that enable the US Air Force
to meet mandates and goals. As a Cyber Systems Engineer, you will be
the subject matter expert for evaluation and implementation of secure
information systems for all project opportunities.
Key
Responsibilities:
The Cyber
Systems Engineer will help the client design and deliver solutions in a
fast-paced, mission-critical environment - translating ideas into action
bringing an innovative mindset, experience in consulting on DOD programs, and a
desire to provide trusted advice to clients and stakeholders. The qualified
candidate will support the following activities:
Establishes methodology and determines best techniques to secure computer systems and to protect cyber key terrain from exploitation of information within these systems and/or to achieve other tasked objectives in cyberspace.Utilizes knowledge of systems security principles and concepts of emerging Information Technology (IT) security developments, and of the infrastructure protection environment to select appropriate tools to be used by team members.Functions as the subject matter expert for evaluation and implementation of secure information systems for all project opportunities.Utilizes knowledge of systems security principles and concepts of emerging Operational Technology (OT) security developments, and of the infrastructure protection environment to select appropriate tools to be used by team members.Leverages knowledge of multiple entities with a stake in current operations to plan and build appropriate courses of action and training scenarios.
Basic
Qualifications:
·Minimum
five (5) years’ experience to include:
oNetwork
architecture, security and the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
oDoD
Information Assurance and cyber security.
oExperience
with developing Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP), Disaster Recovery Plans
(DRP), Information Assurance, Cyber Security, Critical Infrastructure
Protection (CIP) Plans, and Physical Security, Emergency Preparedness, and
Force Protection.
·Strong
background in software engineering and architecture.
·Ability
to interpret, apply, and evaluate the recommended practices for a Control
Systems Security Program from the United States Computer Emergency Readiness
Team (US-CERT) and applicable cyber security standards as well as ensure DoD
and US Army Information Assurance practices are met for any connectivity with
DoD information systems.
Preferred
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s
or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field from an
accredited university.
·Located
in Washington DC Metro Area.
·Knowledge
of US Air Force structure and operations.
