Job Description

Field Service Engineer works with customers on a daily basis at their foundry
location. The engineer’s performance and demeanor is of utmost importance to produce
customer satisfaction and build positive customer relations.

·Responsible for verifying
the proper installation of and overseeing
the commissioning of new Hunter match plate molding machines and mold handling
systems at the customer’s foundry. This can include customer training in
proper operating and maintenance procedures.
preventive maintenance and repairs on Hunter machines by referencing
blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams and manuals. Uses standard test
instruments and hand tools to troubleshoot problems.
·PLC AB & GE (Program)
monitoring, downloading and/or troubleshooting experience a plus.
the customer’s personnel on how to service and repair Hunter machines including
testing, tuning and adjusting equipment to obtain maximum performance.
with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and
submits time cards, expense reports and service reports.

Supervision is limited, so it is important this
person is a self-starter. Must work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work
schedules to accommodate the customer. This job requires extensive travel; and occasional
international travel. A clean driving record is essential. Frequently involves
overtime hours. Must have basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree, or
the equivalent of 3-5 years’ experience in the industrial machinery service
field. Must be knowledgeable in electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Experience in the foundry industry a major plus.

This is a full time, non-exempt position reporting
to the Service Manager.
