Job Description

This position will be located onsite in the Allentown, PA area and will travel to plant locations as needed.

The Recruiting Specialist supports the acquisition of top talent through creative and innovative sourcing approaches, partnerships with external recruitment agencies, embraces the Company’s culture, promotes a strong employer brand, and builds winning teams. The Recruiter reports to the Director, Talent Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • The role requires strong and effective communication, a high degree of collaboration, and self-driven characteristics to build relationships across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to synthesize information and consistently share progress with the appropriate internal teams guiding the process from requisition to onboarding.
  • Supports HRBPs and Hiring Managers in understanding the staffing processes and strategies and guides leaders through the recruiting process.
  • Develop talent pools and passive talent pipelines for priority and difficult to source jobs.
  • Advises management on interviewing, hiring, and candidate evaluation best practices.
  • Uses deep knowledge of recruiting practices to differentiate Company's unique career possibilities, advantages, and rewards and leverage a consistent, compelling message that conveys the most significant motivators to prospective candidates.
  • Leverages long-term relationships with external agencies with extensive talent pools across the industry in communities the Company operates in.
  • Partners with marketing team in branding efforts to ensure a compelling candidate value proposition.
  • Owns the candidate experience and prepares candidates for next phases of the process.
  • Will lead the intern university recruiting efforts in support of the field HRBPs
  • Works with the HRBPs and Compensation Manager to determine a market rate salary for open positions.
  • Partners with Health Services and screening vendors to manage the candidate pre-hire screening processes.
  • Facilitates the onboarding process.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years full cycle talent acquisition experience
  • Experience recruiting for power plant positions, military veterans and campus recruitment
  • Experience utilizing an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) preferably Workday
  • Energy, oil & gas, or engineering industry experience is a plus

  • Knowledge of job posting sites and professional social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); Workday (Preferred)
  • Ability to exercise excellent judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to establish relationships, build trust, effectively manage internal/external relationships and influence others.
  • Ability to see the big picture and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Up to 20% travel required.
