GovCIO is currently hiring for a VTC/IPTV/AV Facilitator Operator to provide support at Fort Eustis, Virginia.
HQ TRADOC has over 120 customized engineered systems for VTC/IPTV/AV installed at Headquarters (HQ) facilities for the US Army TRADOC located on Fort Eustis, VA and the Pentagon (Washington, DC). These systems are installed at various locations such as auditoriums, conference rooms, executive suites, team rooms, mobile VTC carts, portable AV systems, and desktop VTC systems. These systems are networked together with dedicated network switches, bridges, and cabling (Back End) and centrally controlled using specialized VTC/IPTV/AV Software, Hardware, and control appliances (Front End). HQ TRADOC provides video teleconferencing (VTC), Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and audiovisual (AV) installation and maintenance support for multiple TRADOC locations.
Facilitate and operate VTC/IPTV/AV conferences. Start and power off all VTC/IPTV/AV equipment for sessions, conducting audio visual checks prior to each conference, serve as primary VTC/IPTV/AV equipment operator for VTC conferences and other collaborative meetings, coordinate and implement recording and teleconferencing into sessions as required, and serve as initial responders to customer requests regarding VTC/IPTV/AV problems or issues. Create daily “Calendaring” schedules for events requiring facilitation based on customer input from the Conference Room Scheduler or other sources which will be used by the Bridge Operators, Facilitators, and Maintenance Team for planning and implementation purposes. Proficient with the use of the suite of Microsoft products to include but not limited to MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, and MS SharePoint. Build facilitator schedule based on customer requests provided by CRS from designated customers for VTC/IPTV/AV requests and coordinate and implement facilitator and maintenance scheduling.
- Provides installation and technical support for Audio and Video Teleconference systems. Installs, pulls, terminates and tests all ATC equipment, cables, connectors, and interfaces.
- Installs projections screens, plasma TVs and different types of speakers.
- Reads blueprints and wire ATC racks.
- Provides technical support to users experiencing problems with operation or maintenance of systems.
- Installation of ATC systems are performed at client sites.
- Sets up and maintains equipment for audio and video conferencing and teleconferencing meeting needs.
- Provides support to engineers of site VTC and Conference Room systems such as scheduling VTC with external sites, configuring rooms to meet requirements for scheduled conferences.
- Performs video capturing and transfer video to a media streaming server.
- Troubleshoots equipment and network configurations.
- Provides weekly tracking and reporting on all projects and bridge activity, outages, number of VTCs, and other pertinent information deemed necessary.
