Job Description

Summary:

Under direct supervision, this position will assist the Finance Department with payroll, accounts payable, account receivables, event settlements as well as assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements.

Responsibilities:

· Processing facility bi-weekly payroll, which includes the IATSE union stagehands.

· Import IATSE Union stagehand hours from their event timesheets, ensure accuracy of hours, and wage rates.

· Process all wage garnishments, deductions, and payments for applicable employees, in a timely manner.

· Evaluate reasonableness of payroll accrual entries.

· Maintains accurate employee vacation and sick-time balance and notify human resources monthly.

· Prepare and reconcile 3rd Party and Non-Profit Group invoices monthly for INTRUST Bank Arena, The Orpheum and Capital Federal Amphitheater.

· Accurately input payable invoices into D365 daily; coordinate with department heads to maintain department budgets.

· Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements for all locations.

· Create and input journal entries.

· Supervise part-time Accounting Clerk.

· Assist with preparation of all food and beverage settlements and inventory allocations for Capital Federal Amphitheater.

· Position requires the ability to work at all ASM Global facilities in Wichita, KS and Andover, KS

· Must be able to pass a background/credit check.

· Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise part-time finance team member. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM Global’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees: planning, assigning, and directing work; appraisal performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Skills and Abilities:

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

· Sage 50 and D365 experience preferred.

· Workday and ABI MasterMind experience preferred.

· Must be able to demonstrate generally accepted accounting principles.

· Thorough knowledge of payroll including an understanding of payroll taxes, laws, regulations, and requirements.

· Ability to meet specific deadlines and successfully work under pressure with close attention to detail and in an organized manner.

· Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.

· Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.

· Maintain an effective working relationship with employees and customers encountered through the course of employment.

· Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.

· Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

· Work in a fast-paced environment.

Education and/or Experience:

· Bachelors in accounting, finance or business-related field from a four-year college or university required.

· Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.

· Ability to work with co-workers, and all levels of staff.

· Two- or three-years’ experience in a position with accounting responsibilities preferred.

Other Qualifications:
